Polilen — polymer composite material with adhesive layer for pipe insulation · GOST 20477-86
A two-layer protective coating system for external insulation of steel pipes and pipelines: Uz-Polilen-LI as the primary layer and Uz-Polilen-OB as the outer protective wrap. Manufactured by PLASTOR in the Kokand FEZ, delivered across Uzbekistan.
Request a quotation Specifications
A complete three-component Polilen pipe insulation system: primer plus two tape grades. The primer prepares the surface, the primary layer forms the insulation, the outer layer protects it from damage. Black tape, supplied in rolls.
Applied directly to the surface being insulated. A 0.25 mm adhesive layer provides bonding to the metal and a sealed coating.
Applied over the primary layer. A thicker 0.5 mm polyethylene base protects the insulation during backfilling and under soil pressure.
A rubber-resin composition in petroleum solvent. Applied to cleaned steel before the tape is wrapped, it increases adhesion of the coating to the pipe surface — especially noticeable at low temperatures.
According to technological instruction TI 312064429-01:2026 and GOST 20477-86. Test methods per section 4 of GOST 20477.

Order designation example: “Polymer composite material with adhesive layer "Uz-Polilen-LI" 0.4/450, GOST 20477-86”, where 0.4 is the base film thickness in mm and 450 the web width in mm. By agreement we supply 300 mm wide tape and other roll lengths; base film and adhesive thickness remain unchanged.

They are two layers of one coating, not alternatives to each other. Uz-Polilen-LI is the primary insulating layer: a 0.4 mm polyethylene backing with a 0.25 mm adhesive layer, applied directly over the primer. Uz-Polilen-OB is the outer protective layer: a thicker backing (0.5 mm) and a thinner adhesive layer (0.1 mm), wrapped over the primary layer to take the mechanical load during backfilling.
Consumption is calculated as: tape length = π × pipe diameter × section length ÷ (tape width × (1 − overlap)). For a 219 mm pipe over 100 m with 450 mm tape at 50 % overlap that is about 306 m of tape per layer, roughly 1.8 rolls. A two-layer LI + OB coating doubles the figure. An exact calculation including welds and allowance comes with the quotation.
Yes. Primer UZ is a rubber-resin composition in a petrol solvent. It is applied to cleaned steel before the tape is wrapped and bonds the coating to the pipe. Without it adhesion drops, most noticeably at sub-zero temperatures. The primer is part of the coating system and is supplied together with the tape.
The finished coating operates from −40 to +50 °C. Before wrapping, the tape is conditioned for at least 3 hours at 15–30 °C; if the rolls were transported in freezing weather, allow 48 hours at room temperature. Wrap onto a clean, dry surface without tension.
The guaranteed shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Store indoors at −5 to +35 °C and up to 80 % humidity, rolls upright on pallets, no more than three tiers high. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from solvents and acids.
Yes. By agreement we produce 300 mm wide tape instead of the standard 450 mm and vary the roll length. The polyethylene backing and adhesive layer thicknesses stay unchanged — they are fixed by TI 312064429-01:2026 and the certificate of conformity.
